The President's Domaine
We chose our kennel name, "Le Domaine du Président" which means
"The President's Domaine"
because we were lucky enough to live in the boyhood home of the
President of France, the late François Mitterrand.
The house is situated approximately an hour from Bordeaux in SW France.
"Touvent"
When we bought the house in 1995, Touvent was empty and unloved. We spent almost a year restoring it to its former glory - and today it is once again a beautiful, elegant family home with 8 bedrooms, 7 bathrooms and 2 swimming pools.
However we no longer live at Touvent, as the house is now sold.

A few years ago the Presidential family moved an hour north to live by the sea
in a little fishing village called
Meschers sur Gironde.

and now we are on the move again.......
We have moved to the wonderful countryside around JONZAC
just half an hour from the sea.
Our new home is called "Chanteloup" which means "Wolf Song"
because wolves were still seen there
just 60 years ago and it is surrounded by wood and Cognac vines.
